- As of July 1, 2010, the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort and Spa will become the only 100% All Inclusive Resort in St Thomas, USVI. Any bookings made prior to March 18, 2010 for travel after July 1, 2010 will be honored with the meal plan that was originally booked - either room only or all inclusive. Any bookings made after March 18, 2010 for travel beginning July 1, 2010 will be all-inclusive as stated in the room category name.

We just came back from St. Thomas and stayed at the Wyndham Bay. It was a lovely hotel, the staff were very courteous albeit a bit slow with service. We paid for a room with a resort view and were pleasantly surprised that we had a partial view of the bay. We had plenty of towels and the toiletries they supplied were excellent. The room did smell a bit musty but I think that can be expected when you are so close to the water. The price of our trip included breakfast and it also was better than expected. We were entitled to the full buffet which had everything, scrambled egs, hard boiled, fresh omelettes. huge variety of fruits, etc. There were activities every day and in the evening at no charge. The pool was very nice and right adjacent to the beach. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel.

We were sold an all-inclusive deal by online travel website, but in fact this was false advertising. We therefore had to pay for each and every meal, and prices were very high. Hotel was OK, but is not worth the price. We were very disappointed and came back home with a very empty wallet. We will not use online travel website anymore for our future trips, unless -very unlikely- they compensate us for the moral and financial prejudice we went through.

When my husband and I arrived at the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort and Spa in St. Thomas we were concerned because the hotel did not have reservations for us. Though we were able to provide confirmation documents, the hotel did not have any record of our reservation. The hotel staff contacted Travelocity for verification and upon receiving confirmation the hotel staff apologized for the inconvenience and upgraded us at no extra charge! Talk about great customer service! The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the pools were inviting with their waterfalls. My favorite part of our stay was the hotel's private beach. You can swim, snorkel, sail, kayak, or just lay out at the beach and the hotel's staff will bring you drinks or whatever you need! It was so awesome! We will definitely stay at the Wyndham Sugar Bay on our next trip to St. Thomas!

04/26/2009Even though our reservations were lost upon checking in, they upgraded us and gave us a honeymoon gift of rum and soda. the trip was amazing!!!!!!
