Was ok but not the 5 star we expected. We set a very very high std in all areas considering the high price. Toilet did not flush twice, sink did not drain, and ac went out twice.Although they were great in fixing problems why should they exist in five star hotel.Staff was outstanding in every way. Food was good but expensive,Beach was ok but few feet from shore was full of pebbles and not sandy. Also staff did not rake debris that washed up at all which would have taken minimal effort. Also shuttle service to town discontinued ,hence a * dollar cab ride each way. Club lounge was terrific and worth the extra money. We ate breakfast and lunch every day with snacks plus free rum drinks and wine all day. Beautiful grounds and rooms.with great views.Lots of walking but shuttle service readily available. As I write this upon reflection it sounds worst than I felt while there for 5 nights with my wife and young daughter Nonethe less it simply was not up to 5 star level we expected.

he Ritz-Carlton, on the Great Bay, across from St. John. Very nice. We were there peak time, so it was quite pricey for an ocean view room. (around $* per night, but it would probably be less than half that in May) Beautiful hotel, beach, and pool; windsurfing and sailing. Quiet and very relaxing. The food was really fantastic, especially the buffet breakfast. The hotel is far from the airport, but close to the ferry to St. John. There were a couple of minor issues with our room: First, the door to our room opened to the great outdoors, so we had a minor ant problem in our room. I was not too happy about that, considering the cost of the room. I also noticed that a piece of one of the shower nozzles was hanging off, and although it had nothing to do with the hanging nozzle, the hot/cold water took some time to work itself out. I don't know if this is nitpicking or not, but since I was paying so much for the room, I kind of felt like maybe I was entitled to expect perfection. Still, we had a great time. The weather was awesome and we had absolutely no desire to leave the hotel grounds for the 4 days we were there. Also worth noting, this place is super kid-friendly.

Everything in this resort was perfect. We had such a wonderful time. Beautiful sorroundings, location is perfect. One thing is St. Thomas is very pricey, not just at the Ritz Carlton but every where you go. Bring a lot of money for taxis, food and drinks. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the trip a lot (we would go back), but everything is too pricey, a learning experience. Make sure you have a nice budget when visiting. Go to St. Johns - we liked their beach better than St. Thomas. There is no night life at the Ritz Carlton. If you are looking to relax this is the place for you. Didn't have any problems at the resort

It was an amazing property! It was just absolutely beautiful. They had great service, great rooms, great location. The only thing that was disappointing was the food. They didn't have that great of a selection and their conceirge did not have too much knowledge of the local cuisine. Try to do your own research!
