Average hotel. The people were nice, but our in-hotel dining experiences were not desirable. Beach access was great. No elevators and we were on the 3rd floor with heavy luggage. Nice view. Airplanes are a little close because of the airport, but it didn't really bother us at all. There is some giant water tanks to the left of the hotel that make a loud jet engine noise every now and then, but never at night.

The hotel is quite small but very clean. Hotel staff very nice. Quiet beach and very relaxing. Sightsee on tuesday because the cruise ship Oasis is in port and the hotel beach gets very crowded. Not much to do in evening, entire town of CharlotteAmalia closes down at 5 after the cruise ships have left. Hotel resauant is good and average price for breakfast,lunch and dinner.Rent a car for the stay for taxi drivers charge $* and up per person to take you anywhere.

We stayed at both resorts while in St. Thomas for a cruise on the Wind Spirit. Emerald Beach was by far the better resort. The people were very friendly, the room clean and up to date, the drinks were much better, and the food was good. The beach was great with plenty of shade to relax out of the beating sun. It is very close to the airport (you could walk) as well as downtown shopping. The airplanes can be loud, but there are not that many. We would probably stay here again.
